Who’s your favorite Bible character?

OK - here’s the last big question in our “summer of sizzlin’ questions”: Who is your favorite Bible Character? Why?
When I think about certain characters & their stories, it is neat to consider and then discover why they appeal to me… why does my spirit resonate with this person…is there a quality I see in them that mirrors something within me? or, do I long for a quality that is exhibited in them?
I’ll get back to you about a few of my favorite and most fascinating characters - in the meantime,

how many times are you asked to introduce yourself to a new group/class? so, what do you say? how do you define or describe WHO you are? what kinds of qualities are important to who you are? ‘remember in the story “The Little Prince”, the observation is made about the difference between adults and children when introducing a new friend. The adult will say, “uh-hmm, this is john smith…he is a lawyer and lives in a big house and drives a bmw and has a lovely family”. the child would say, “this is my new friend joe, his voice is quiet and his favorite color is green and he likes to play with legos”… what is important in defining who YOU are?

OK friends, I’m working on a message for October 30 and I need your input!

Tell me your reactions to the verse: “rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering and persevere in prayer” -

I think they are all challenging lifestyles! But, I’m really intrigued by the notion of rejoicing with JUST hope….or maybe HOPE should never be prefaced with “just”?

I CLING to hope…I can FOCUS on hope…but, I am more inclined to “rejoice in a cure”…or “rejoice in a win”…

So, how about you? Have you rejoiced in hope before? Tell me about it -
